With the weekend almost here, why not make plans to do a

little exploring close to home and around NEMI!

Looking to cool off? Bring the family to Low Island Park and

take a dip in the North Channel or let the kids enjoy the

Splash Pad.

The NEMI Farmers’ Market is open on Saturday from 9am-

12(noon), downtown Little Current beside the Bank of

Montreal and offers a variety of local vendors, produce and

Manitoulin-made products!

The Centennial Museum of Sheguiandah is now open daily

from 9am-4:30pm. Take a step back in time as you discover

the history of our area and early pioneers. While you’re

there, enjoy a picnic lunch in the park or let the kids burn off

some energy in the playground!

Looking to go for a walk or hike? Make sure to visit the worldrenowned

Cup and Saucer Hiking Trail, located at 4097

Highway 540. You can also take a leisurely stroll along the

boardwalk in Sheguiandah or enjoy a walk along the Linear

Waterfront Trail from the Swing Bridge to Low Island Park.

Take a selfie in front of the Mural on the Wall or visit one of

the many lookouts -Ten Mile Point, Strawberry Lookout or

McLean’s Mountain for more photo opportunities.

End the day by enjoying a spectacular sunset view
