Prov Bay News and Notes

We now have a new hand operated water pump at the cemetery. If you are visiting loved ones,  please feel free to water the flower beds and barrels out front.

The village/civic square work schedule has been redone and the next work bee is scheduled for Saturday, August 1 and a rain date of Sunday the 2nd. There will be a lot of shoveling and raking being done and volunteers will be greatly appreciated. Anyone interested in getting emails and updates are invited to email Alex at abaran@providencehouse.ca or to call at 705-377-4755.

Matt Young has offered to take any refundable bottles or cans that you would be willing to donate to the village/civic square. This money will be needed for the purchase of trees, shrubs, and other materials required for the project.

Mike and Cathy (Simpson) Warner and son Jake are visiting from Windsor. Annual visitors Tim and Carol-Ann Parks from Alliston were back. It’s always nice to visit.

The beach has been very busy with summer finally arriving. This has created a lot of discussions about the phragmites and other invasive species on the beach. Many people complain about the overall condition of and the lack of beach area. Let’s hope that all of this talk leads to a solution to the issues.
