Volunteer work gives St. Paul’s a new, and safe, sidewalk

MANITOWANING— Every community is filled with amazing unsung volunteers who go above and beyond to help out others. We have a few in our community.

St. Paul’s Anglican Church would like to give a huge shoutout to Owen Myers who replaced the church sidewalk for us and donated all his time and all the time of his crew as well.

The sidewalk was in such disrepair that there was a fear that an elder might trip and fall. Unfortunately, the church funds were earmarked for mandatory expenses such as hydro, water etc., so with the Myers’ assistance and a very successful cookie walk and donations we were finally able to complete this much needed work before another winter kicked in.

Thankfully Mr. Myers heard about the situation and had the skills and knowledge to do the job and assisted. We are so thankful to live in a community of people who help each other out.
