In loving memory of Daniel “Dan” Serré, 52 years, who passed away suddenly, Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Newmarket. Beloved husband of Jennifer (McIvor) Serré. Loving father of Jeremy and Jessica Serré. Cherished son of Julie Serré and the late Edgar Serré predeceased. Loving brother of Jeannette (Norm Poirier), Jeannine (Shawn Schade) both predeceased, Paulette (Steve Gingerich) and Claude Serré (Michelle). Special son-in-law to Dave and Brenda McIvor. Dear brother-in-law of Karen McIvor (Camille Boland). Sadly missed by nieces and nephews and his feline friend Eddy. Dan was the President of Local 2020 United Steelworkers and a proud trade unionist. He loved life and lived it to the fullest having many interests and passions which included watching hockey on his giant television with his favourite blanket, fishing and goalie coaching with his son, and travelling extensively from coast to coast, camping, yard work, reading, cooking and entertaining. Dan was happiest when in the company of good friends. The light of his life will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Prayers were held in the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent Street at Hazel Street, Sudbury on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 1 pm. Friends called after 11 am on Monday. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
