Gore Bay resident Delaney Madore has been judged as Manitoulin’s Perfect Teen as part of the Miss Canada pageant contest.

GORE BAY—Gore Bay resident Delaney Madore has been judged as Manitoulin’s Perfect Teen as part of the Miss Canada Perfect pageant contest, and has now qualified for a world competition being held in the United States in 2017.

“Yes, it is pretty exciting,” stated Ms. Madore on Monday. “I just found out yesterday that I won a title-they’ve given me the title of Manitoulin’s Perfect Teen.”

Ms. Madore explained, “I was entered into this contest because I was in a Miss Perfect contest last year and was chosen to go to this one.” She noted the contest was done online.

“I had to do an interview online and sent in videos for the evening gown part of the competition, as well as one for bikini wear,” continued Ms. Madore.  Although she is unsure of exactly how many girls entered the contest, “I know in Ontario there were about 14 of us taking part in the teen division.”

She will be receiving a crown and a sash for being selected in first place in this division. She also pointed out, “I will now be going to the World Perfect Contest in Florida next year (2017).”

Within this year Ms. Madore entered the Miss Trillium Canada contest, taking the title of first princess, entered the Miss North Ontario Pageant, and was first princess at Miss Manitoulin.
