Manitoulin schools welcome new principals

MANITOULIN—Some of the Rainbow District School Board’s elementary schools welcomed new principals when classes began on Wednesday, September 7.

Christy Case has been appointed principal of Central Manitoulin Public School. She served as principal of Charles C. McLean Public School in Gore Bay for the past four years. Prior to this appointment, she was vice-principal of Little Current Public School for two and a half years. She was also a teacher for the deaf and hard of hearing. Ms. Case has taught various grades from Kindergarten to Grade 8 in Rainbow Schools on Manitoulin Island. She looks forward to working with students, staff, parents/guardians and the community of Central Manitoulin Public School.

Tracey Chapman has been appointed Principal of Charles C. McLean Public School. She served as Principal of Central Manitoulin Public School in Mindemoya for several years. Prior to this appointment, Principal Chapman taught various grades from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in Rainbow Schools in both Sudbury and Manitoulin Island. She looks forward to working with students, staff, parents/guardians and the community of Charles C. McLean Public School in Gore Bay.

The first day of school was Wednesday, September 7.
