OPP Stuff a Cruiser replenishes Manitoulin Island food bank

On Friday, December 15, members of the Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police, in photo left to right, officers Steve Redmond, Marie Ford and Kailynn Brooks, took part in the first annual ‘Stuff a Cruiser’ event at Island Foodland in Mindemoya.

MINDEMOYA—On Friday, December 15 members of the Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) hosted their first annual ‘Stuff a Cruiser’ event at Island Foodland in Mindemoya.

The event was held to help replenish the Manitoulin Family Resources (MFR) Food Bank throughout the holiday season and OPP members collected non-perishable food items and monetary donations and toys between the hours of 12 pm and 7 pm.

Community members donated $1,880.50 in cash and a considerable donation of non-perishable food and toys.

The OPP and Island Foodland want to thank local and area customers for their extremely generous support and contributions to make this such a successful event!
