MANITOULIN—The recent Island snowfalls have provided plenty of building material for budding (and veteran) artists to construct their creations in time for the 2022 municipal snow sculpture contest.
The contest is open to all residents of Manitoulin Island, who are incited to “come join the fun of building a snow sculpture between January 24 to February 21.”
There are prizes for first, second and third place entries.
To enter, all you (and/or your team) have to do is, first create a snow sculpture, take a photo of your creation (make sure its best side is in the frame) and then email that photo by 12 pm (noon) on February 22 to email@example.com. It’s that easy and a great way for you and your team to get outside and enjoy the winter wonderland that is Manitoulin in February.
The snow sculpture contest is proudly supported by the municipalities of Manitoulin Island, so get out and do your community proud. So far it seems Wiikwemkoong is getting a march on the rest of the Island.
