Local News 147th annual Manitowaning Fall Fair provided ‘Fun for the Whole Herd’ Production Expositor - September 13, 2023 0 Hugh Moggy, long-time Manitowaning Agricultural Society board member, encouraged everyone to ‘enjoy the fair’ with his Beetle float. Riders and their horses marked the start of the horse show by carrying Canadian flags around the arena while the national anthem played. The Manitoulin 4-H Club float showcased the next generation of farmers and youngsters appreciative of their agricultural roots at the fall fair. Baby Archie helped with the official Assiginack Horticultural Society parade float. Is it really a fall fair without a well-dressed goat? We think not. Robin Cooper of Clover Valley took top honours for her ‘peculiary-shaped vegetable,’ in this case a potato. Ready, set, go!
