21-gun salute
Members of the Sergeant Charles Golden Rifle Team provided a 21-gun salute in memory of veteran Dennis William Field at the Gordon cemetery this past Saturday. Mr. Field served as a Leading Air Craftsman in the Royal Canadian Air Force for five years. The members of the team taking part in the gun salute ceremony included Paul Abbott (Royal Canadian Dragoons), Robert Miron 49th Field Regiment (Sault Ste. Marie, Reserves), Ed Duncan (Royal Canadian Naval Vets), Don Scrumeda, flag-bearer and Richard Wayne Golden, Team Non-Commissioned Officer. The 21-gun salute was part of a funeral service held for Dennis William Field and Francis Jean Field.
