MINDEMOYA—They are back! Maja Bannerman and Rusty McCarthy are back for one night in performance at the Trinity United Church in Mindemoya to perform their original music from Ms. Bannermans’ new album “What a World,” followed by a Hootenany.
Sue Wadge explained, “Everyone is invited to enjoy the music, and musicians are invited to bring their instruments and join in playing along with familiar songs as part of the hootenany.”
“If you have a musical instrument, please don’t leave it at home,” said Ms. Wadge. “We will be picking some oldies to sing and some of you may even want to play along.”
“We are trying to do something that will be fun and enjoyable for members of the public,” said Ms. Wadge. She pointed out the church, “held a community garage sale last weekend to raise funds so there will be no charge at the door for the night of music.”
The event will take place at 7 pm on Thursday, July 31 at the Trinity United Church, located beside the J.H. Burt Memorial Arena at 6070 King Street in Mindemoya.
Admission is a donation at the door.
All musicians are also invited to talk shop and meet Maja Bannerman and Rusty McCarthy at noon for lunch at the church. Please contact Sue by text at 705-348-2075 or email feltfarmsw@gmail.com by July 28 to reserve a lunch spot.
