The retired teacher’s works are inspired by the impressionist school of art.The Centennial Museum of Sheguiandah played host to Julia Chmilnitzky, whose inspiration comes from the landscapes that surround her Northern home.The Centennial Museum of Sheguianda was home to a number of exhibitors, including Jola Klim whose ceramic creations channel her feelings about the world.Paulette Stewart is no stranger to patrons of the arts on Manitoulin. The couple were visiting Manitoulin from their home in Windsor over the past few weeks and thought the art tour would be a great way to explore the Island.Art tour organizer Judy Boyd was celebrating her final year of organizing the Manitoulin Art Tour and is handing the job off to “younger hands.” She is pictured her, on the left, along with fellow artist Sue Cairns in Ms. Boyd’s Little Current home.Heather Galea, of Modest Makings in Honora Bay, is too modest about her talent. She produces paintings, prints both large and small, along with cards, jewelry and a whole lot more.Gwendlyn Goulet was displaying her eclectic creations of copper wound art and jewellery at the NEMI Welcome Centre in Little Current.Debra Ireland was holding court at Turners of Little Current where a host of her art was on display. Works by photographer Jon Butler were also at the upstairs Turner Gallery.Photographer Dani Lynn Redgrift-Berthelot was exhibiting at the NEMI Welcome Centre in Little Current. Her works reflect timeless imagery of rural scenes.Connie St. Pierre works in oils and acrylics and was showing her art at the NEMI Artisan Incubator in Little Current.Pam Jackson has been drawing and painting for over 10 years on Manitoulin Island. She was one of five artists that had their works on display at the Park Centre in Kagawong.Richard Edwards of Edwards ArtStudio in Kagawong, is a well-known painter and printmaker.Melanie Hunt, left in photo, is both a potter and fibre artist, while Sarah Monger (also in photo) is a potter, fibre artist and painter. The latter and her husband Larry Monger, is a woodworker and the couple own Monger Ware Arts.Lisa Robbins, of Oak Hill Studio, on the East Bluff just outside of Gore Bay was excited to share her vibrant water colour paintings as part of the Manitoulin Art Tour.
