MANITOULIN—Thanks to the generosity of the Manitoulin community, the Island Wide Backpack Program fundraising goal has been highly successful. 

“We reached our goal of raising $6,000,” stated Pastor Jamie Greenwood of Spring Bay Pentecostal Church on Thursday of last week. 

The campaign, spearheaded by all pastors on Manitoulin Island, had a goal of raising $6,000 toward providing backpacks and supplies to all students in need on Manitoulin. 

This year saw an increase of 31 students in need (over last year). 

“We want to thank 3 Cows and a Cone, churches, and everyone who helped support this campaign to support students,” added Pastor Greenwood.
