Many family and friends helped Hugh and Mollyanne McLaughlin celebrate their 60th anniversary at the Waters Edge Restaurant in Gore Bay on Saturday, October 18. “It was a wonderful event, well organized and it was great to see so many friends and family,” said Mr. McLaughlin. After a come and go tea held in the afternoon, about 50 members of the family and friends were served an excellent dinner, followed by the cutting of the anniversary cake, a traditional dance for the couple and everyone taking part in a dance later that evening.
