Frosty Cup brings plenty of outstanding action

Champs! The ‘Northern Storm’ team won the women’s division of the Frosty Cup Benefit Hockey Tournament this past weekend in Gore Bay. The ‘Storm’ defeated the ‘Island Beaches’ in the final game by a 4-2 score. Members of the winning team in photo included Kennedy Lanktree, Sonya Stencell, Deidre Debassige, Amber Lewis, Gerrilynn Manitowabi, Danielle Shawana, Victoria Trudeau, Aaliyah Osawamick, Niibin Pitawanakwat, Alycia Shawana and Natasha Cooper.
The ‘Chiefs’ team won the Sportsman division of the annual Frosty Cup Benefit Hockey Tournament, this past weekend in Gore Bay. They defeated Team Peltier 8-2 in the final game. Members of the Chiefs team shown in photo included Andrew Corbiere, Samuel Assinewai, Dylan Francis, Lukas Abotossaway, Levi Morrison, Eric Charilbious, Jalen Waindubence, Carter Abotossaway, Jordan Trudeau, Greg Trudeau, Ryan Mooney, Greyson Case and Brandon Soucy.

Team Noland won the 40 plus men’s division at the annual Frosty Cup Benefit Hockey Tournament, held this past weekend in Gore Bay. Team Noland won the championship final game 6-1 over Team Blodgett. Members of Team Noland, shown in photo include Ken Noland, Tyler McQuarrie, Dan Violette, Brad Bailey, Ryan Stewart, Chris Purvis, Derek Green, Travis Orford, Dustin Woods, Nevin Merrylees and Perry Cuomo.
