Wiikwemkoong man arrested on several charges that endangered community

On Friday, July 4, Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service (WTPS), with the assistance of the Greater Sudbury Police Service (GSPS), arrested Miish-Kii M’Koos Corbiere in Sudbury. The individual was wanted on several charges that were endangering the community.

Mr. M’Koos Corbiere was charged with four counts of failure to comply with release order, dangerous operation, failure to stop after accident, flight from peace officer, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon and forcible confinement.  

WTPS appreciates the information provided from the communities of Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory (WUT) and Assiginack township that aided in making the arrest.
