NORTHEASTERN ONTARIO—Rick Cooper, of Kagawong, will act as interim chair of the North East Local Health Integration Network (NE LHIN), with the previous Chair Danielle Belanger-Corbin’s term as chair having been completed.
Mr. Cooper, who is serving his second term on the NE LHIN board, will act as interim chair until a new chair is appointed to the NE LHIN board by an Order-in-council. He has worked in small and large community hospitals across the province as a vice president at the senior management level for more than 37 years.
In addition, Mr. Cooper had worked as a senior director for the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care’s Northern regional office in Sudbury. Mr. Cooper is a certified general accountant and a graduate of the health care administration program.
