Meanwhile, our neighbours have hired a wolf to lead them
To the Expositor:
Many years ago, a great country was founded in the “ true north, strong and free.” She was a country of exceptional potential. She possessed untold treasure. A vast landscape holding virtually unlimited water, minerals, hardwoods and energy. She had powerful, wise and patriotic leaders. She had many battles with her neighbours to the south and won them all. She won so often that we got tired of winning. The leaders of old recognized the value of peace through strength. She was a country of strong and virtuous men. These men were not called “ toxic masculine.” They were powerful yet gentle with their subjects. This great nation had the opportunity to become just as powerful and respected as her southern friends.
Unfortunately, she decided to hire weak leaders who are great at cocktail parties and great at taking away guns from hunters and great at mandating unsafe and ineffective medical interventions and great at avoiding citizen protests and great at freezing bank accounts. These unmanly qualities have become abundantly clear to other world leaders. Taxing the proletariat is our leader’s greatest accomplishment. And now, in true rabbit fashion, our leader quits. Quitting is bad enough, but he also disbands the government. This once great nation now has no engine and no rudder in a hostile ocean of reality.
Enter the wolf.
Our neighbours have hired a wolf to lead them. The wolf is not an evil creature. He simply makes a living by sniffing out weakness and doing what wolves do. We all know what a wolf does when he finds a fat rabbit. I fear for my beautiful country.
