GORE BAY—St. Joseph’s Lodge in Gore Bay celebrated their incredible volunteers last Thursday. The celebrations also provided the opportunity for St. Joseph’s to award three of its volunteers with special awards.

“To our volunteers: you are the heartbeat of this community,” stated Jaime-Lynn Kalmikov, St. Joseph’s Lodge administrator. “You bring warmth into rooms, laughter into quiet moments, and companionship where it’s needed most. Whether you’re leading activities, sitting, and listening, helping at events, or simply offering a smile in the hallway, you are improving quality of life in ways that can’t be measured on paper, but are deeply felt every single day.”

“You remind our residents that they are seen, valued, and cared for, not just as individuals receiving support, but as people with stories, memories, and dignity,” said Ms. Kalmikov. “That matters more than words can fully express. Thank you for your dedication to our home and residents, it is amazing to see the moments and beauty you bring to our home everyday,”
