Please think before you leave your vehicle on the sidewalk

To the Expositor:

On Saturday afternoon, I decided to take my new scooter out for a test run, taking the sidewalks from my Dupont Street home to downtown Little Current.

As I rounded the corner of Worthington Street to take a left onto Robinson Street downtown, I noticed a woman ahead of me walking with a cane. A pickup truck was parked across the sidewalk on Robinson Street, near Buddy’s Fries. I watched as the woman with the cane moved off of the sidewalk, around the truck, and back on again. I too had to maneuver my scooter over the slight curb, onto the road, around the truck and back onto the sidewalk before continuing up Robinson.

I urge drivers to please think before you park. Leaving your vehicle on the sidewalk so that it can’t be used is inconsiderate.
