Vehicle strikes Light-House church in Espanola

On December 1, 2016 at 1:40 p.m., the Espanola Police Service and EMS responded to a single motor vehicle accident that occurred on Tudhope Street near the intersection of Centre Street.

Upon arrival, police determined that the 85-year old driver of the motor vehicle lost control while pulling into angle parking, and accelerated forward jumping the curb striking the Light-House Church building at 114 Tudhope Street.  The impact caused considerable damage to the vehicle and church and sent the driver to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
