Dolly Peltier volunteered her time before the walk, painting the red handprint that has come to signify the MMIWG movement on walkers’ faces.
A women’s hand drum group drums and sings in memory and in honour of those MMIWG. All of the walkers wore t-shirts designed by Wiikwemkoong artist Elijah Bell.
