WIKWEMIKONG— On September 1, the Wikwemikong Tribal Police responded to a call at a residence in Wikwemikong where it is alleged that an altercation had occurred between two parties which resulted in the victim to have visible injuries resulting from strangulation.

As a result of an investigation, Ross Wayne Jacko, age 31, of Wikwemikong was arrested and taken to Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court Division on Friday, September 2 in Gore Bay. He has been charged with the following offences: attempt murder; uttering death threats; breach of recognizance; and mischief.

Mr. Jacko was then remanded into custody.
