MINDEMOYA—The Island Singers will be presenting their Spring Concert ‘Celebrate and Sing!’ on Monday, May 11 at 7:30 pm at the Mindemoya Missionary Church in Mindemoya.
The program will include songs of the seasons as well as solos from well-known musicals such as Oklahoma, Mary Poppins and the Phantom of the Opera.
This will be the final concert before the retirement of Choir Director Dorothy Anstice and accompanist Holly Scott. It is sure to be a special event.
All proceeds of this concert will go towards the Manitoulin Central Family Health Team, in assistance with their capital expansion. The new building will help to serve approximately 9,000 patients across Manitoulin, with over 17,000 appointments offered per year. The services available to our patients include appointments with physicians, nurse practitioners, dietitians, social workers, health promoters, OTN nurses, registered nurses and traditional healers as well as many programs available for chronic disease management and disease prevention.
Tickets will be sold at the Manitoulin Central Family Health Team and at the door for a cost of $15. Come and enjoy an evening of beautiful music and support a worthy cause while you listen!
