(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – On August 17, 2016, shortly after 1:30 p.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to domestic dispute in progress at a residence on Timmins Road in the City of Elliot Lake.

An argument ensued between a male and a female and escalated to the female being struck in the face by the male.

As a result, a 21 year old male, from Elliot Lake, Ontario, was charged with: Assault – Spousal, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code.

The accused is schedule to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on October 4, 2016.
