GORE BAY—Following a province-wide recruitment process, the Town of Gore Bay is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Quinlan as the new town manager/clerk, effective June 2, 2025.
“Jason brings a strong background in both the public and private sectors, having spent nine years working in municipal government and most recently serving as operations manager at Split Rail Brewing Company,” a release explains. “His return to public service reflects a deep commitment to community and a keen understanding of the unique needs of Gore Bay.”
“We’re thrilled to welcome Jason to the role,” said Mayor Ron Lane. “He is someone who not only brings valuable experience, but also lives on the Island, knows Gore Bay well, and is committed to staying for the long term. We are confident he’ll be an excellent fit for our community and for the future of the town. We also extend a sincere thanks to Harry Schlange for his service and leadership. Harry will continue to support Jason throughout the month of June to ensure a smooth transition.”
