Gore Bay girl moves up the ranks of Legion poster contest

GORE BAY—A Charles C. McLean (C.C. McLean) student was awarded for her efforts in the Royal Canadian Legion colour poster contest.

Emma Chaytor, who is a Grade 7 student at C.C. McLean had entered her poster into the Legion Intermediate (Grade level) poster contest. She took first place at the school level, first at the Legion Branch (514 Gore Bay) level, first in the regional competition and finished in third place at the District H level.

Jim Woods, Poppy Chairman of Western Manitoulin Branch 514 of the Royal Canadian Legion in Gore Bay, presented Ms. Chaytor with her third-place certificate and medallion in the District H, Intermediate Coloured Poster Contest, on April 27.
