In memory of Patricia Lauren McShane, aged 87, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Lodge (previously Manitoulin Lodge), Gore Bay.
Daughter of the late Jim McShane and Maude DeLavelle (nee Palmer). Predeceased by her sister Sandra Dini. Pat is survived by her brother Michael (Mick) McShane (Sault Ste. Marie).
Pat was born on the Manitoulin but spent a good part of her life in Sault Ste. Marie. She started her teaching career at Alexander Muir Public School in the Sault and when it closed moved on to Mountain View Public School in Goulis River where she taught until her retirement.
Pat first spent her summers on the Manitoulin with her Uncle Frank and Joyce McShane (predeceased) then later with Murray and Aunt Lottie Thompson (nee Palmer, predeceased). She was an avid golfer, gardener and loved to travel around Canada with Murray and Lottie.
She became a resident of St. Joseph’s Lodge in 2021.
