District Services Board honours 2024 long service employees

ESPANOLA—The Manitoulin Sudbury District Services Board (DSB) announced its long service awards during a recent meeting of the board.

“This is a new item on the agenda and I feel that as your CAO is important for me to bring forward to the board the recognition and the acknowledgment to staff of their number of years of service,” said DSB CAO Donna Stewart. “We were formed in 1999, so we’re into our 25th year, so it’s a long time for us to have been in existence and in 2004 we took over paramedic services—so it’s my pleasure to go through the list with you.”

For five years case managers Andrea Bernier and Jenna Bourcier along with Community Paramedic Ashleigh Desormeaux and Paramedics Travis Clelland, Devan Deschamps and James Stefanko.

For 10 years, Director of Integrated Human Services Lori Clark and Paramedics Travis Allen-Lamothe and Scott Burns were recognized.

For 15 years, Paramedics Jeffery Hinschberger, Jarret Maltby, Shawn Marcoux, Davide Perrotta and Gary Welch were cited.

For 20 years, Deputy Chief Jennifer Tasse, Community Programs Supervisor Francois Seguin, Community Paramedic Sherri Chopra and Paramedics Darren Assiniwe, Tiffany Brault, Scott Cameron, Keith Crockford, Dwayne Elliott, Jeanette Fox, Audrey Jones, Gaetan Lagrandeur, Melanie Laramee, Ron Mailloux, Todd McKenzie, Patrick McKinnon, Ray Patrie, Blair Peltier, James Robinson, Monic Rochon-Shaw, Denis Seguin, Michael St. Amour, Rod Steele, Andre Therrien and Aaron Wright were acknowledged.

For 25 years, Director of Finance and Administration Connie Morphet, Information Systems Manager Iain Stephens, Executive Assistant Melody Ouellette, Case Manager Jim Putman, Employment Consultant Tara O’Hearn and Finance Assistant Leslie Giroux received accolades.

“Congratulations all,” said Ms. Stewart. “It’s a milestone in its own right just being able to acknowledge these long serving employees.”
