LITTLE CURRENT—Megan Goulais and her rink took the first event championship at the annual Little Current Curling Club annual ladies’ bonspiel, held March 28-29.
Ms. Goulais was skip of the rink that included vice Kat Bourcier, second Katie Cooper and lead Kait Commanda. The runner-up in the first event was the Margot Bickell rink that included Dawn Wilkin, Beth Bond and Maryanne Alston.
A summary on the Little Current Curling Club Facebook page stated, “Curl First, Disco Later (or both at the same time?). Well folks, we did it again, the Little Current Curling Club ladies’ bonspiel was a groovy success, complete with dazzling shots, questionable dance moves and the glitter levels were borderline hazardous.”

The second event winner in the bonspiel was the Brittany Wall rink which included Shelby Hester, Maggie Strain and Jacqueline Craig. The runner-up was the Mel Karn rink with Tanya Bickell, Val Brighten and Jeni Farquhar.
In the third event the Leslie Marshall rink, which included Dawn McCann, Paula Fields, Lori Moggy/Heather Hall won the final. The runner-up team included Kristin Bickell, Sam Fey, Mickey McQuarrie and Cassie Huck.
The Sherri Loutitt rink was first in the fourth event. Her rink included Sue Whynott, Wendy Niven and Lori Clark. The runner-up was the team of Joanne Wade, Ellie Miller, Beth Dykalski and Paulette Glaude.
