LITTLE CURRENT—On Saturday, March 21, members of the Manitoulin Health Centre (MHC) Little Current Auxiliary hauled rocking chairs into the Little Current United Church for their fourth annual Rock-a-thon. Eleven members took part this year and at 10 am sharp, the rocking began. It’s not as easy as it may seem, rocking for hours on end, with short 10-minute breaks hourly—it’s hard work. The hall was chilly and not everyone thought to bring blankets or heavy sweaters, so there was that—the energy you burn rocking in your chair does not generate much heat.
