Gardening is one of the best ways to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. If you  don’t have a new backyard goal then read, ‘52 Weekend Garden Projects’  by Nancy Bubel to get you started. Bubel’s book covers everything from choosing the perfect spot for a herbal garden or creating a floral butterfly oasis to sowing your own seeds for the next year or planting a snacking garden. There are projects  for every season of the year to keep you busy, creative and relaxed!

Malalai Joya is a caring, compassionate and dedicated woman. She has an ongoing struggle to gain equality, particularly in education for women in her Afghanistan homeland. This battle has put her in the forefront of worldwide headlines. Malalai has worked tirelessly in an underground organization to promote the cause of women in her country and was the youngest person (at 27) to be elected to Afghanistan’s new parliament in 2005. Her book entitled, ‘Raising My Voice’ is an intimate look into the life of a devoted, purpose-driven and remarkable women.

Linwood Barclay is a former writer for the Toronto Star and is now a best-selling author.  His books include, ‘Never Look Back,’ ‘The Accident,’ ‘ Trust Your Eyes,’ ‘No Time For Goodbye,’ ‘Fear the Worst,’  ‘Lone Wolf,’  ‘Stone Rain,’ ‘Bad Move,’ ‘ Bad Guys,’ just to name a few.  In his novel, ‘Never Saw it Coming,’ a psychic “fake” takes advantage of distressed families. When one of her phony visions gets too close to the truth, her own safety is in jeopardy. Barclay is a skilled writer…just when you think that you have it all figured out…he throws a curve ball!
