PROVIDENCE BAY—The Providence Bay Curling Club hosted the annual ESSO trophy play-off.
The playoff included two teams from the Manitowaning, Mindemoya and Providence Bay curling clubs vying for club points in two games each, held throughout the day, for the honour of placing their names on this historic trophy.
The winning club this year was Providence Bay. Their team included John Novak, May Bowerman, Jack White, Pat MacDonald, Harold Dewar, Ellen Holroyd, Norman Jones and Cathy Jones. Always a great day with good curling, social time and comradeship.
