To those who say it has been difficult to catch any fish in Gore Bay, Tim MacTaggart has the proof that this is not the case.
“Someone said to me recently there are no fish in Gore Bay. I proved them wrong,” stated Tim MacTaggart of Kagawong, who on Thursday, August 7 caught a Chinook salmon that measured 35 and a half inches and weighed 18 pounds.
“The captain of the boat was Barry Scully, who is from Levack,” said Mr. MacTaggart, who pointed out the giant fish was caught in Gore Bay waters across from Janet Head Park and the lighthouse.
“I was also fortunate to catch two rainbow trout,” said Mr. MacTaggart, who pointed out a friend of his, Dan McQueen, caught six rainbow trout in the same area the day before.
