The Meldrum Bay annual ATV ride went very well this past Saturday, with 105 people taking part in the ride, which took about two and a half hours to complete. There were draws held for the many door prizes, and a lunch was held for all participants and the 25-30 people who just visited the community for the meal. Proceeds from the event go to the Dawson Citizens Improvement Association (DCIA) towards fixing up the Meldrum Bay community hall. The DCIA acknowledged the support of the Nature Conservancy of Canada and Ontario Parks for letting the ride take place on property they own.
